Godine

Hej igen! Maken är fortfarande sjuk men vi har fått reda på vad han har men vägen till bättring är långt bort, känns det som. Intressant hur en person kan påverka allmänstämningen på en hel grupp människor (men det är ju samma på jobbet). Igår bråkade vi alla i omgångar, usch och fy!!

Idag bestämde jag mig för att vara på bra humör (får lov att erkänna att jag också blivit grinig för att min man är sjuk o hans humör påverkar mig, mer än vad jag tidigare trott, fast kanske ingen nyhet för mina tjejer..), för jag och mina tjejer skulle ha en heldag ihop idag!

Hello again! Husband still sick and the good news is that we know what is wrong and the bad news is that it will take some more time before it gets better. Really interesting to see how one person's negative mode can affect a whole group (but that is true also in work life). Yesterday we were fighting /arguing in different constellations, all of us, not very nice...

Today I decided to take the high road and to actually be in a better mode (have to admit that I'm getting really affected by my husbands mode and I think also our different languages / communication skills are put to at test in these situations, and not with a good result. Probably my girls know this already!!). However, today was a day for me and my girls!!!

Och dagen kunde inte har börjat bättre! Det har snöat galet mycket sedan igår kväll, så vi ville upp med första kabinbanan 8.30 för att njuta av nysnön.

Och första åket blev i pulversnö i nästan folktomma backar! Skidåkning blir inte bättre än så här!!

And the day couldn't have started better! Finally it started to snow, and a lot! So we wanted to have an early start to enjoy the new snow in the slopes.

And the first run was just as perfect as you can wish for, without any other people in the slope!!!

Vi åkte skidor till strax efter elva. Svängde in från skidbacken till vårt hus. Åt en lätt lunch o promenerade i snöfallet ner till Alpenhof Hotel, och till vår inplanerade spa-eftermiddag som började klockan 12.00.

We skied until eleven. Then we headed home, the beauty of living ski-in&ski-out, just turn right in the slope and we are home. We had a light lunch and then we walked to Alpenhof Hotel for our appointment at 12.00.

Där väntade ett spa-program på tre timmar för oss alla tre (en av julklapparna till tjejerna), som bestod av helkroppsmassage, ansiktsbehandling och manikyr /pedikyr och vi känner oss nu så fina och redo för nyårsfirande! Så avslappnande och mysigt!

Och vi njöt också av deras spa-avdelning med bastu, pool och varma sköna rum med vacker utsikt! Även här folktomt, så skönt! Skönt när man inte får ha baddräkter på sig och allt är unisex, typiskt för Tyskland & Österrike.

There I have made a reservation for a three hours treatment (Christmas present to the girls) for the three of us. So now we are ready for New Years Eve, all three!!! So relaxing and cosy!!

And we also had time to enjoy the spa with sauna, pool and warm cosy rooms with fantastic view over the village. And no people, great!!! Which is good when you are not allowed to have any swimming clothes on, AND it is unisex areas only. Yes, very standard here and in Germany.

I övermorgon åker mina tjejer hem. Kommer att sakna dem i massor. Gaby ser jag i februari igen (bra) o Mimmi i juni (inte bra men hon är ju i Burlington, Vermont fram tills dess). Mysigt att få njuta en hel dag tillsammans, bara vi tre. Nu har jag fått ny energi... (haha eller kanske inte för det tog tvärstopp när jag kom hem då maken inte var särskild glad, på vad vet jag inte...).

And the day after tomorrow my girls are leaving. Will miss them A LOT!!! Gaby I will see in mid February (yihaa) but Mimmi not until June (not yihaa since she will be in Burlington, Vermont until then). Nice to spend a whole day together the three of us. Now I have new energy... (haha or not because when I came back home my husband was not in a good mode and I just lost all the air like a balloon...) Well I need to keep trying...

Men innan dess blev det en god middag på vår favoritrestaurang här i Flachau; Holzwurm och när vi kom hem blev det ett parti med Cluedo. Faktiskt en gammal favorit som jag, tjejerna o svärmor spelade när vi bodde på Alpenhof Hotel för 15 år sedan, då jag träffade maken... Så i det hela ett ganska bra slut på en väldigt mysig dag! Vi ses senare i veckan! Catharina

But before my "collapse" we went out for dinner at our favorite restaurant here in Flachau; Holzwurm and when we came home we played Cluedo. Actually a game that we played when we stayed at Alpenhof Hotel 15 years ago when me, my girls and my mother-in-law went here for the first time, and when I met my husband the year after.
