Varken fattigt eller mörkt! | Neither poor or dark!

Hej, hur har ni det? Vi har det bara bra! Äntligen helt friska från corona och gäster i stugorna, samt att jag jobbar en del på mitt konsultjobb. Så det känns bra att det äntligen trillar in lite kronor till oss, till skillnad från förra året då det var 0 eller till och med minus. Men det är stökigt med bokningarna, inte bara för oss utan för alla uthyrare. Gäster som är optimistiska att de kan och vill komma men sedan blir osäkra på om den kan/vill komma, typ en vecka innan. Och visst är det förståeligt men det går ju inte att vara hur flexibel som helst så länge det inte är inreseförbud. Tyvärr! Här är vädret riktigt vintrigt och mer snö skall komma i helgen. De räknar med ca 1 meter snö. Det är ju hur mycket som helst men vi får se. Ibland blir det inte som de säger i prognosen. Vi har också haft en hel massa sol så när man hemma i Sverige pratar om mörka och trista januari så blir jag alltid lika förvånad hur fantastiskt januari faktiskt är här nere i alperna. Kallt, krispigt och massa snö som lyser upp. Dessutom ganska ofta strålande blå himmel och sol! Och skönt lugn efter en oftast superhektiskt jul-&nyårshelg. Och lite pengar som trillar in. Hello, how are you doing? We're just fine! Finally healthy after corona as well as guests in the cottages, and that I work a lot on my consulting job. So it feels good that a little money is finally coming in to us, unlike last year when it was 0 or even minus. But it is messy with the bookings, not only for us but for all the landlords around here. Guests who are optimistic that they can and want to come but then become unsure if it can / wants to come, a week before. And of course it is understandable, but it is not possible to be totally flexible. Unfortunately! Here the weather is really wintry and more snow is coming this weekend. They expect about 1 meter of snow. It's a lot, but we'll see. Sometimes it does not turn out as they say in the forecast. We have also had a lot of sun, so when people at home in Sweden talk about dark and boring January, I am always just as surprised how fantastic January actually is down here in the Alps. Cold, crispy and lots of snow that lights up. In addition, quite often radiant blue sky and sun! And nice calm after a usually super hectic Christmas and New Years weeks. And some money coming in. So we do enjoy ourselves at the moment. In sort of a slow way. See you later! Ciao Catharina
