Sol, åska och underbar mat. | Sun, thunder and delicous food.

Hej, igår blev det en dag utan uppkoppling, skönt! Tränade, läste och solade och umgicks. Idag hade vi tänkt att åka och bada efter frukost men då drog ett åskväder över oss så vi bestämde oss för att kasta om dagen, så nu sitter vi och myser på vår uteplats. 

Hello, yesterday I went off line, nice! Spending the day with fitness, reading and sun bathing and just being. Today we had planned to go swimming after breakfast but a thunderstorm passed by so we decided to stay at home in the morning and go swimming in the afternoon instead, so now we are just relaxing. 

Här äter vi så god mat! Vi köper frukt och grönskare hos en handlare som har sin trädgård precis bakom och allt är närodlat och färskt! Älskar vattenmelon! De var färdiga nu i lördags. Vanligtvis är de mogna en vecka senare, men då det har varit så varmt hittills i sommar så har de mognat tidigare. Mums! 

The food is soooo good here! We are buying our fruits and vegetables at a local vegetable stand where they grow all what they sell in the garden behind the stand. And everything is locally produced and fresh!! I love water melon! They were ripe this week. Normally they are not ready until a week later, but due to the warm weather until now they are ready now. Yummy!! 

Tyvärr är jag ju allergisk mot allt ovan; äpplen, päron, nektariner, fikon, persikor, körsbär mao alla kärnfrukter. Men jag tittar gärna på dem och minns hur de smakar. 

Unfortunately I'm allergic to most fruit with stone in it, such as; apple, pears, peaches, figs, cherries etc etc. But I can still look at them and sort of feel the taste.

Och här grillas orada på utegrillen till gårdagens middag. Och till det åt vi mangold. 

And yesterday we grilled orada at the outdoor grill. And we served it with mangold. 

Ovan ser ni när dagens regnväder drar över oss med utsikt över vår pool. När vi inte badar så kommer svalorna hit och dricker vatten. De flyger över och dricker i farten, häftigt att se. Ska försöka fånga dem på bild. Så som ni förstår så myser vi 100%. Vi ses imorgon! Catharina

And above you see our pool with the rain weather coming in. When we are not swimming in the pool the swallows are drinking water. They are flying over and drinking from the water while make a short dip into the water.. Shall try to catch them on camera. So as you understand, this is 100% relaxing. See you tomorrow. Hej, är allt bra? Här är allt toppen! Vi har nu installerat oss i vårt hus. Fjärde året som vi hyr, och tredje året i rad. Samma två veckor! Idag har vi tagit det lugnt och packat upp och fixat. Det blev sent igår när vi hämtade Mimmi på flygplatsen i Pula men maken och jag kom ändå upp relativt tidigt idag och tog en powerwalk längs kajen i Porec för att sedan gå till piazzan för att köpa lite färsk fisk och grönsaker. 

Hello, is all ok? Here everything is great! We have now installed ourselfs in the rented house, forth time and third year in a row. The same two weeks! Today we have taken it easy and unpacked and fixed things. Yesterday we came home late, after picking up Mimmi from the airport in Pula. Despite that we managed to wake up rather early to go for a power walk in the city of Porec. After we went to the piazza to buy fresh fish and vegetables.

På morgonen vid åtta var det 30 grader så vi svettades och pustade lite. Men nu på eftermiddagen har ett regnväder dragit förbi, välbehövliga droppar och lite svalare, typ 22 grader, men imorgon blir det över 30 grader igen. 

At eight this morning it was over 30 degrees so it the power walk was a bit slow. But now it has been raining, so it is cool, around 22 degrees, nice. But tomorrow it is back to over 30 degrees again. 

Porec, Croatia 2017

Ikväll kommer fler gäster; mina ex-svärföräldrar kommer med båt från Venedig. De hälsar på oss regelbundet, och senast hälsade de på oss i julas i Flachau, mysigt! De stannar till fredag morgon då de åker tillbaka till Toskana då resten av deras stora familj kommer och hälsar på, i olika omgångar. Vi har planerat lite sightseeing, salta bad och goda middagar, både hemma och ute på restaurang. 

Tonight more guests are coming; my ex parents-in-law will arrive with boat from Venice. They visit us on a regular basis and last time was last Christmas in Flachau, very nice! They stay until Friday morning when they are going back to Tuscany, where they have a large apartment, and the rest of their family will visit them. We have planned some sightseeing, swimming in the salty water and nice dinners; both at home and in restaurants.

Nu är det dags att fixa räkningar och fakturera lite. Sedan läser jag nog lite tills det är daxs att hämta svärföräldrarna. Just ja, en dusch också... Vi ses imorgon! Catharina

L'abbraccio della Quercia.

Hej, vi är nu i Kroatien. Närmare bestämt i Isrien, vilket är den norra delen av Kroatien. Vi har hyrt ett hus norr om Porec men vi bestämde oss för att åka en dag tidigare för att undvika alla köer (lördagar är förskräckliga) och vi blev rekommenderade L' Abbraccio Della Quercia, så vi bestämde oss för att stanna här en natt. Japp, vi är i Kroatien inte i Italien. Men de är ju tvåspråkiga i denna delen av Kroatien, så allt är på kroatiska och italienska. 

Hello, we are now in Croatia. In Istria, which is the northern part. We have rented a house north of Porec but we decided to go one day earlier in order to avoid all the ques (Saturdays are no fun-days for travelling down here) and we got L' Abbraccio Della Quercia recommended to us, so we decided to stay one night here. And yes, we are in Croatia, not in Italy. But they are bilingual here in this part so everything is in both croatian and italian. 

Och vi åkte och åkte på små små vägar upp och nerför kulllar, bland olivlundar och vingårdar och genom små små byar och plötsligt var vi framme. Och här var det så vackert! Uppe på en platå med utsikt över böljande kullar och små byar uppe på höjderna. 

And we went on small small roads up and down the hills, among olive groves and vineyards, through small small villages and all of a sudden we had reach our destination. And it was really beautiful! On a hill with a beautiful view over the valley and the hills. 

När vi kom fram till Kroatien åkte först och badade och sedan åkte vi till Momjan, den lilla byn som ligger närmast där vi skulle bo. Här är värmebölja och det har varit närmare 30 grader i ett par veckor nu (ovaligt tidigt) så en simtur var efterlängtad. Innan vi åkte hade vi full fart och torsdagen (dagen innan vi åkte) började vi med en 45 km lång cykeltur till Untertauern i strålande sol och sedan fixade vi fram till halv ett på natten. Uppstigning vid fem, för att undvika köer, så det kändes bra med siesta. 

When we came to Croatia we went for a swim first and then we headed to Momjan, the little village that is closest to where we were going to stay. Here it is really hot and over 30 degrees since a couple of weeks back, so going swimming was really nice. And before we came we had a lot to do and on Thursday (the day before we left) we went on a bike ride on 45 km to Untertauern and then we kept on working in order to get everything ready for the holiday and we went to bed at half past twelve in the night, and up at five, to avoid the ques, so after checking in we took a siesta. 

Och idag är det midsommardag och även fast vi inte firade midsommar igår så är vi lite trötta idag då vi var ute och åt igår på en av våra favoritrestauranger här; Stari Podrum. Och vi satt och åt och pratade från klockan sex till klockan ett på natten, bara jag och maken. Mysigt!! Vi satt utomhus i deras trädgård hela kvällen och vi behövde inte en en jacka eller en sjal. 

And today it is midsummer day in Sweden and even though we didn't celebrate midsummer yesterday we have been tired today. We had dinner at our favorite restaurant Stari Podrum. And we eat and talked from six o'clock to one o'clock in the night, me and my husband. Really really nice! We sat outside in the nice garden the whole time and we didn't need a jacket or anything.

Här är som sagt värmebölja, nu vid niotiden på kvällen har vi fortfarande 28 grader. Vi har precis haft besök av en av mina kompisar här Jelena, sedan har vi ätit lite pasta och nu fixar vi tills vi skall åka till Pula för hämta Mimmi på flygplatsen. Mysigt! Imorgon blir det morgonträning och sedan bad. Och ni kommer att få tips och bilder från vår semester här. Vi ses! Catharina

And as I said above, here is a heat wave at the moment and now at nine it is still 28 degrees. We have just had a visit from one of my friends here; Jelena, we have had dinner and soon we are off to Pula to pick Mimmi up from the airport. Nice! Chalet am Jet.

Hej, nu har vi fixat i dagarna tre med att iordningställa våra stugor för sommarsäsongen. Vi har döpt våra stugor till Chalet am Jet = Stugorna vid Achter Jet pisten. Vi har också döpt stugorna efter våra papport; Nikola och Gunnar. Vi har två stycken som är identiska; 85 kvm på två våningar för totalt 8 personer i varje. 

Hello, now we have been fixing for three days in order to put the Chalets ready for the summer season. We have named them Chalets am Jet = Chalet by Achter Jet ski slope. The two Chalets also have been named after our fathers; Nikola and Gunnar. They are identical; 85 sqm on two floors and for 8 people in each. 

Det är ju lite olika aktiviteter för de som hyr stugorna på vintern respektive sommaren. Så nu har vi ordnat med grillar och parasoller, kompletterat med porsling (alltid går något sönder) samt satt upp lite mer personliga prydnadssaker såsom bonader från mina föräldrar mm

It is a bit different to rent our the Chalets in winter and in summer. And this year is the first where we rent them out properly in the summer; so we have arranged outdoor grill and parasol, bought some more plates and glasses (always something that breaks every season) and also decorated a bit more with my parents old but nice things. 

Vi har en rustikal stil med lite moderna inslag. Fint tycker vi och passar bra här nere. Så här hoppas att vi att våra gäster kommer att sitta och njuta av utsiken över Flachau...

We have a rustic style with modern touch. Which we thing is nice and well suited down here. So I hope our guests will enjoy it here and look at the view over Flachau...

DIY Drömfångare. | DIY Dream Catcher.

Godkväll, såg denna fina drömfångare och som är ett DIY-tips från Sofia Jansson som driver bloggen Mokkasin. Först tänkte åhh, vad fin och bläddrade förbi den då det just precis var pyssel. Och jag har kommit fram till att jag inte är en bra pysslare, men när jag kunde inte riktigt glömma den fina drömfångaren. Och kom på att, hmmm jag har massa tyger, lite dukar från min mamma hemma och så varför inte? 

Good Evening, saw this beautiful dream catcher, which is a DIY-tip from Sofia Jansson that have the Swedish blog Mokkasin. First I thought, ohhh it is so beautiful and just flipped by it since it was DIY. I have realized that I'm not very good at DIY, but couldn't forget the beautiful dream catcher! And I realized that, hmm I have a lot of textiles, and some table cloths from my mother at home, so why not? 

Så här gör ni drömfångaren!  Bara att sätta igång eller hur? Just ja, behöver rockringar också, hehe

And this how you do the dream catcher!  Unfortunately it is Swedish, but Google Translate works very well with Swedish-English so just do it! O yes, I will need hoops as well! 

Tänkte försöka att få till 3 stycken; ett till vårt hus och varsin till våra stugor. Visar naturligtvis resultaten, oavsett om det blir katastof (mao bevis på att alla pysseltips för mig får gå till runda arkivet) eller om jag lyckas (tja då kanske jag kan börja lite långsamt). 

I'm thinking about doing 3; one to our house and one each to our Chalets. Will show you the result! If it is catastrophic (then I will know this is NOT for me) and if it works (well then I can do some other easy DIY things).
