Safari & Big 5.

Hej, nu är vi på safari. Närmare bestämt i Nambiti Game Reserve och vi bor på den privata lodgen Idwala. Vi kom igår tidig kväll och imorse var vi uppe på vår första tur. Vi steg upp kvart över fem och vi tog en snabb kaffe, klädde oss varmt och sedan var vi på väg.

Hi, we are now on safari. We are in Nambiti Game Reserve and we are staying at the private lodge Idwala. We arrived early last night and this morning we took our first tour. We went up quarter part five this morning and drank a coffee, dressed warm and then we were off.

Big 5 är målet på en safari och för följande djur ingår i Big 5; lejon, elefanter, afrikansk buffel, noshörning och leopard. Och vi såg 4 av 5 på första turen. Vilken lycka! Vi såg alla utom leoparden.

Big 5 is the goal during safari game driving and the following animals are the Big 5; the lion, elephant, african buffalo, rhino and leopard. We saw 4 out of 5 on our first tour! We were so happy!! Only animal that we missed was the leopard.

Nedan ser ni några bilder från morgonens tur. Vi var ute i fyra timmar, från 6 - 10. Helt fantastiskt! Vi såg massa andra djur också som giraffer, zebras, gnu mm mm Och vi såg också massa av alla djuren.

Below you see some of the photos I took this morning. We were out four hours; 6-10. Absolutely fabulous! And we also saw a lot of other animals as well such as giraffes, zebras, gnu etc etc. And we saw a lot of all animals.

När vi är på game drive tar vi alltid en paus, och då dricker vi half and half; kaffe och varm choklad tillsammans. Så gott!! Ni kommer att få se massa bilder under kommande dagar från vad vi hittar på här! Nu blir det middag med vänner och här blir vi som mest 18 person under helgen. Så safari och party!!! Vi ses! When you are going for a drive you always take a break and we then drink half and half; coffee and hot chocolate. Delicious!! You will see a lot of photos during this upcoming week. Hope you will not get tired of all the photos. Now it will dinner and a lot of friends will arrive during this week-end, up to 18 people. So safari and party!! Good combination!! See you, ciao! Hej, nu skall vi åka på safari en hel vecka. Så kul!! Här är så full fart så hinner knappt blogga. 😜 Men också utan wifi blir det svårare, eller snarare avkopplande. Prövar appen Gudak, bara för skoj. Ni får se bilderna i nästa vecka då det tar tre dagar att framkalla, hehe Fast egentligen bara på låtsas. Som på gamla goda tiden m instamatikkamera. Vi ses! Hello, soon off to a weeks safari. Looking so much forward to it!! We are very busy and don't have time to blog. And without wifi, it doesn't get better. But I will be back! Downloaded the new app Gudak. Takes photo like old instamatic camera, like in the good old days. Will share it later next week, since it takes 'time' to develop. Hehe See you tomorrow! Ett kort hej från Mozambique! Vi är i Afrika o att räkna med wifi överallt kan man inte förvänta sig. Så det blev ett oväntat uppehåll här på bloggen.

A short hello from Mozambique. We are in Africa and you can't expect wifi everywhere. So an un-expected break here at the blog.

Vi är i södra Mozambique o bor på en plats som heter Ponto Malagane o vi bor precis vid havet. Så vackert men så annorlunda. Vädret är lite blåsigt men runt 25 så vi myser. Maten är helt fantastiskt serverad i små skjul. Och vi njuter i fulla drag.

We are in south Mozambique staying in a small village called Ponto Malagane, just by the sea. So beautiful but so different. A bit windy but around 25 degrees. Food is super!! And we are truly enjoying ourselfes.

Sydafrika. | South Africa.

Hej, nu är vi på plats i Durban i Sydafrika. Resan tog närmare 24 timmar, från dörr till dörr, och allt har gått bra. Vi är nu på plats hos våra vänner Jaco och Andrea. Ikväll skall vi ut och äta och sedan blir det full fart med både gamla och nya vänner. Skall bli både mysigt och kul! Vi är i Durban till på söndag morgon då vi åker till Mozambique, närmare bestämt till Ponta do Oura. Men innan dess får ni fler reseuppdateringar härifrån Durban.

Vi kommer att göra flera stopp när vi är här, kolla vår resrutt här, och vi har också kollat in 100 Best Things To Do in South Africa skriven av Jenn Miller. Är ni sugna på att resa till Sydafrika, gå gärna in och kika på alla hennes jätttebra tips. Vi kommer att göra / har gjort ca 25 av dem.

Hello, now we have reached our destination! We are in Durban, South Africa at our friends Jaco and Andrea house. It took nearly 24 hours, door to door, but we are finally here. Tonight we will go out for dinner, the four of us, and then we will see a lot of friends, both old and new, the rest of the trip. Really looking forward to it!! We will be here in Durban until Sunday morning then we will be heading to Mozambique and Ponta do Oura, for a couple of days. But before that you will get some more updates from Durban.

We will make a couple of stops here in South Africa, have a look here on our route. I have checked out 100 Best Things To Do in South Africa written by Jenn Miller, a lot of really good tips. So if planning to come here, check-out her tips, really really good. We will do / have done around 25 of them.

Nu har resan börjat. | The travel has started.

Så stugorna är städade, huset iordning o blommorna vattnade. Blir alltid lite extra flitig innan jag skall ut o resa vill att allt skall se fint ut / vara iordning. Och det blir lite extra stressigt då, hehe Är det samma för er?

So we cleaned the Chalets, fixed the house and gave water to all flowers. Always want to do all this extra before travelling so everything looks nice when I'm back home. However, gives a bit extra stress. Are you doing the same?

Äntligen framme i Munchen! Tur att man är resvan. Vi skall strax boarda o vaknar imorgon bitti Johannesburg! Vi ses då! Catharina

Finally at the airport! Luckily used to travel so can run fast and arrange thing even quicker! Soon boarding and tomorrow we will wake up in Johannesburg! See you then! Ciao catharina
