Hej, vi pratar av och till om att vår dröm är just en hus i Kroatien. Vi tänker i Istrien, men inte vid havet utan uppe i bergen med vidsträckt utsikt över Istriens gröna kullar och vinodlingar. Kanske en egen olivlund och kanske med en liten vy av havet, allra längst bort i horisonten.

Hello, we are talking now and then about our dream to have our own house in Croatia. We are thinking about the north part; Istra. But not by the sea but in the pampas, i.e in the mountains with a breathtaking view over the green hills, wine yards and possibly the sea in the distance. And maybe an olive grove as well.

Vi tänker oss också ett klassiskt istiansk stenhus. Gammalt vore fantastiskt som vi sedan renoverar. Material såsom sten och trä och färgerna vitt, beige, brunt och svart. Bilderna har jag sparat från Pinterst de två senaste åren och ser ett tydligt och enkelt tema. Och stora ytor, både inne och ute.

We are thinking about a classic old stone house. That we will renovate. The material would be stone and wood and the colors white, beige, brown and black. The pics I have saved over the last two years so you can see that I have had the same idea / feeling the whole time. And big spaces both indoor as well as outdoor.

Uterummen blir minst lika viktiga som rummen inne i huset. Gärna en plats för många i skuggan, så vi kan bjuda dit alla våra vänner och alla dom vi känner.

The outdoor rooms will be as important as the indoor rooms. And of course a big place in the shadow, so we can invite everyone that we know...

Och ytterligare ett eller två ställen där vi kan hänga beroende på hur solen skiner; frukost, lunch, eftermiddagsdrink och sen middag.

And yet one or two places where we can sit depending on where we have the sun; breakfast, lunch, afternoon drink and late dinner.

Och området runt poolen blir också en samlingsplats för familj och vänner. Både för de som vill sola och för som bara vill ligga i skuggan.

And the area around the pool will also be a place for gathering for family and friends. Both in the sun and in the shadow.

Och ett vardagsrum som i materialval, både på möbler, golv och textilier som flyter samman uterummen med stora fönster som vi kan hålla stängda under vintern och som vi kan öppna upp under vår och sen höst.

And a living room that have the same kind of feeling as the outdoor rooms; on furniture, floor and textiles so that there will be a seem less feeling between them. And with big windows that we can keep closed in the winter and open up in the spring and late autumn.
