Våra balkonglådor 2018. | Our flower pots 2018.

Hej, nu har vi planterat alla våra balkonglådor! Det blev i år rosa och röda hängpelagonier, bara. Förra året hade vi en grön växt emellan men jag tyckte att de tog över. Vi stod ute i lite lätt regn och gjorde alla 15 lådorna plus några extra, både för huset och för stugorna.  

Hello, we have now done all our flower pots! This year I decided for pink and red geranium (then hanging ones), only. Last year we also had a green plant in-between but I thought they took over so I decided to skip them this year. It was raining but we could still be outdoor. We made all 15 pots plus a couple of extra, both for the house and for the Chalets. 

Skall kolla om de behöver vatten imorgon, just nu regnar det lite av och till så kanske inte. Och ger dem näring om några veckor och sedan lär det ta fart. Och från och med nu är detta min morgonsyssla. Plocka och vattna dem varje dag. Mysigt!! 

Will check if they need water tomorrow, but it is raining here so they might not need it. And I will give them some additional nutrition (do you say that in English??) in a couple of weeks, and then they will start to grow nicely. And this is from now part of my morning ritual. Check, water and pick whistled flowers every day. Nice!

Kommer naturligtvis att visa kort på själva blomlådorna när det har vuxit till sig lite. Men har faktiskt inte fixat vår uteplats än. Här är det både regnigt, kallt och fullt med pollen så väntar med att ställa iordning allt. Det ser ut att bli bättre väder i helgen. Och här nere firar vi fortfarande pingst, så en lång helg, igen! 

Will of course show how they look when the flowers has grown a bit. But haven't fixed our outdoor sitting area yet. Here the weather has been a bit cold and rainy, with a lot of pollen, so decided to wait a bit. But the weather looks ok for the weekend so maybe then. Here is another long week-end coming up; Whitsuntide. 

Vi har naturligtvis hjälp av riktiga experter; våra kompisar Herbert (vår skid-&cykelkompis) och hans fru Claudia. Det de inte vet om trädgård och trädgårdsskötsel är inte värt att veta. Vi bjöd dem på en god middag; lamm från ön Pag i Kroatien, som tack för hjälpen. Ha en bra kväll! Jag har precis bakat färska tekakor (recept får ni nästa vecka) och skall fixa min kefir också, sedan blir det läsning. Skall läsa igenom min ena dotters uppsats en gång till, från början till slut, 50+ sidor. Tror jag provsmakar en tekaka för lite energi. På återhörande! Ciao Catharina

We did get help for the experts, this year too! Our friends Herbert (also our skiing and mtb-buddy) and his wife Claudia. What they don't know about flowers and gardening is not worth to know. As a thank you, we invited them for a very nice dinner; lamb from island Pag in Croatia. Have a nice evening! I have just baked bread (recipe next Friday) and will fix my kefir as well, and then it is time to read. Will read through my oldest daughers thesis, from start to end, 50+ pages. Mina pelagonier. | My geraniums.

Hej, idag har det varit en riktigt fixardag. Har ägnat mig åt att rensa i mina blomlådor, och oj, hade visst inte gjort det på ett tag. Och så här såg det ju ut när vi precis hade planerat dem i maj. Fint, men har lite kvar till målbilden. 

Hello, today is a day full of fixing things. Have taken time to clean up in my flower pots, and oh dear haven't done that for a couple of weeks. And here you can see how it looked when we planted them back in May. Nice, but need to practice a bit more to get the perfect Austrian Flower Pot. 

Har hållit på i fyra timmar och hmmm mer grönt än rosarött just nu, men inte en dag för tidigt. 

It took four hours, and more green than red pink at the moment, but not a day too early. 

Ja, ni ser. I vanlig fall brukar jag ha typ två nävar fulla med blommor. Idag blev det hela korgen full... 

And you can see, a lot. Normally I have two handful of whistled flower, but not today...

Meditativt och fint väder så en perfekt söndagssyssla. 

Meditative and nice weather, a perfect Sunday to be in the garden. 

Har också bakat bröd, och skall i kväll ställa mig att styka lite. Ja, strykhögen som jag nämnde i ett tidigare inlägg blev faktiskt färdig den kvällen men nu är det en ny som väntar otåligt på mig, hehe..

Vi skall också iväg på lite gatutennis (vad det nu är) hos Mona & Alex, samt grilla lite cevapici, och har bakat det klassiska brödet Lepinja som man har till. Mums! På återhörande, Catharina

Have also made some bread, and tonight I will do some ironing. Well, yes the pile that I mentioned in an earlier posting was done, but now a new pile is eagerly waiting for me, hehe...

However, before that we will skip over to our neighbours Mona & Alex for some street tennis (not sure on what it is) and some grilling. Have done homemade Lepinja, the bread that you normally have to the cevapcici, that will be on the grill tonight. See you tomorrow, right? Ciao Catharina

Hej, idag har det varit arbete i trädgården. Vi åkte till en trädgårdsmarknad strax utanför Salzburg och köpte en 60 pelargonier. Hade ju tänkt mig vita och ljusrosa...

Hello, today we have been working in the garden. We went to a market garden close to Salzburg and bought 60 geraniums, and some greens. Had planned to buy white and light pink...

...men det blev två olika rosa istället. Lite mer färg! De vita som ni ser skymta kommer att stå vid vår entre. Vi valde hängpelargonier, vilket jag tror blir fint på våra balkonger, och på våra stugor. 

...but I went with two different pinks instead. A bit more colour. The white geranimus that you can see in the background is for a flower pot that we stand in front of the house. We choose hang geraniums, which I think will look really nice on our balconies, as well as in our Chalets.

We got help from our friends Claudia and Herbert, real garden experts. 

Vilket gjorde att arbetet med att plantera de 15 balkonglådorna gick smidigt. 

And this really made the work easy with the 15 flower pots. 

Här ser ni ovan balkongen som vi har i vårt sovrum. Det ser lite klent ut ljust nu men de skall växa till sig och de behöver lite plats. Bakom huset skymtar ni skidbacken, numera kohagen, och snart kommer kossorna. 

Here you see the balcony that we have in our bedroom, the flowers do not look that impressive now but they need some space to grow. Behind the house you see the ski slope, or the pasture for the cows. 

Och här är min myshörna med våra nyplanterade pelargonier. Vi har morgonsol så här är det mysigt att sitta på morgonen, samt att fånga solen på kvällskvisten med en eftermiddagsdrink. Just nu har vi en grill / eld där men den skall vi flytta på och så får jag sätta dit mina trädgårdsmöbler. 

And here is my favorite places with the newly planted flowers. We have morning sun so here it is so nice to sit and drink coffee in the mornings, and to get the last sun in the evening with an afternoon drink. Right now we have a grill /outdoor fire here but we will move it this week-end and then I will put my garden chairs there. 

Vi hoppas att om en månad eller så, att våra pelargonier skall se ut så här! Och vi får hoppas att det inte blir något hagel, som inte är helt ovanligt här nere, som förstör våra fina blommor. Ni får se hur de växer under sommaren. Nu har jag pyssel varje dag, mysigt! Och vem vet, jag kanske tar med mig några Mårbacka pelagonier till nästa år så blir det lite mer svenskt här nere. Vi ses! We hope to get this result in a month or two! And we also hope that there are no hail storms, which is not that uncommon down here, that could destroy our flowers. I will show you how they grow over the summer. Now I have work to do every day, nice! And maybe I will bring with me some Mårbacka geraniums for next year, a piece of Sweden in Austria. See you!
