Fantastiska grönsaker & frukt. | Awesome vegetables & fruit.

Hej, vi har många favoriter när vi är i Porec, Kroatien. En är att köpa färska grönsaker och frukt direkt från odlarna. En av ställena dit vi går till ligger en bit utanför Porec, där odlar familjen allt på marken bredvid sitt stånd. Närproducerat och ekologiskt. Kan väl inte bli bättre. Och allt är i säsong, naturligtvis. 

Hello, we do have a lot of favourites here in Porec, Croatia. One is to buy our fruit and vegetables direct from the farmers. And one of places is located a bit outside Porec, where a family is running the business. They grow everything just around the corner from their stand. Organic and fresh, and only in season, of course. 

Fördelen med att ta bilen är att vi kan köpa med oss saker hem. Denna gången köpte vi med oss lök, potatis, mangold, tomater, vitkål, citroner, paprika, gurka, sallad, auberginer och meloner.  

The advantage with taking the car is that we can buy things to take home. This time we bought onions, potatoes, charcoal, tomatoes, white cabbages, lemons, bell peppers, cucumbers, sallads, aubergines amd melons. 

Så maten närmaste tiden bestäms utifrån vad vi köpt. Och utifrån hur länge de håller så att vi hinner äta upp allt. Det har blivit grillade körsbärstomater, stekt aubergine med lök, kokt vitkål, stekt mangold och potatis (typiskt kroatiskt tillbehör till fisk), citronerna till mitt morgonens citronvatten, kycklingsallad och matiga sallder med paprika, lök, tomat och gurka. Och kokt potatis till gårdagens köttbullar. Samt meloner till efterrätt. 

So the food planning is then planned based on what we bought, and npbased on how long it is fresh. We have made grilled cheery tomatoes, fried aubergine with onions, fried charcoal with potatoes (very typical Croatian side dish to fish), lemons for my lemon water in the ,ornings, chickensallad and other sallads loaded with all above. We have also boiled the cabbage as well as the potatis (to Swedish meatballs). And almost everyday melon as a dessert. 

Här är vår affär... Och kul att kunna stödja de lokala odlarna. Lite dyrare, mycket godare.
