Åhh, vilken fantastisk dag, dagen då mina vänner skulle gifta sig!! Vi började med att yoga, med havets horisont och brus som en fantastisk inramning på denna vackra yogastudio.

Ohhhh, what a fantastic day, the day when my friends got married!! We started off the day with yoga by the ocean. Best yoga studio ever!!

Sedan blev det frukost. En ny favorit; Phil's special med två pocherade ägg, och kaffe naturligtvis.

Then breakfast. A new favourite; Phil's special with two poached eggs, and coffee of course.

Sedan hängde gänget på stranden, och badade i det varma havet!!!

Then we all hanged at the beach, and of course took a swim in the warm ocean!!!

Vid lunch kände jag att det var dags att skriva färdigt talet, samt att få ihop extrauppgiften som jag fått; skriva en dikt om "Den Mogen Mannens Fördelar", hehe inte helt lätt men fick ihop en liten text.

At lunch it was time to finish the writing of my speech, as well as trying to do the extra assignments I got; write a poem about "The Matured Mans Advantages", hehe not easy but did it.

Och förberedelserna på stranden började. Så vackert med havet som "back drop". Här är det stor skillnad på låg- och högvatten.

Preparation for the wedding ceremony has started. So beautiful with the ocean as a "back drop". Here you will notice the difference between the tides.

Vi hade en alldeles egen fotograf; Rickard Ahlström. Som ni kanske har märkt har jag inte så mycket kort på gästerna här och det är för att det var en handfull personer som inte vill eller bör figuerera i sociala medier, så det måste man respektera. Men hoppas att jag lyckas förmedla lyckan!

We had our own photographer; Rickard Ahlström. As you might have noticed I have not many people on the photos here but a handful of people shouldn't be featured in social media, so that's why. But I hope that I still capture the feeling and happiness!!

Brudparet!! Och vi grät en skvätt allihopa, till och med Bojan. Då kan ni förstå hur vackert det var!!

Married! And we all cried, even Bojan. Then you can understand how beautiful it was!!

Våra vänner hade ordnat det så vackert! Fördrink innan själva vigseln med bra musik. Och själva vigseln var magisk!!! Sedan blev det lite mer drinkar och därefter när solen gått ner var det dags för själva midddagen. Den var lång, med många tal, men kändes helt perfekt!! Superkul toastmaster och massa fina tal.

Our friends have organized everything so beautiful! Pre-wedding drink with nice music, at the beach (of course). The ceremony was so magical!! Then some more drinks and then after sunset it was time for the dinner. It was long, with many speeches, but felt perfect!! Really fun toast master and so many nice speeches!!

Sedan blev det dans och som vi dansade!!! DJ:n var berömd (i Kenya) och hade spelat på Run DMC's konserter i USA, och spelade världens bästa musik. Vi var ju barfota hela tiden och vid fyra på morgonen tog vi ett dopp i poolen och då var mina fötter så ömma av allt dansade. Så kul, så fantastiskt och så underbart!!!

Then it was time for the dance and we danced!! The DJ was famous (in Kenya) and had played at Run DMC's concerts in US, and played the best music ever. We were bare foot the whole time and at four we took a swim in the pool and then my feet were soared from dancing. So fun, so fantastic and so wonderful!!!!

Hade skrivit ett tal samt sjunga sången "That's whats friends are for" till min kära vän. Och fick avsluta bröllopsmiddagen med tal och sång till kaffet. Pirrigt men det blev jättebra, då sången handlar om vänskap och nu blev det inte bara min och min väns vänskap, utan vänskapen till alla som var på detta fantastiska bröllop!!! Somnade med ett leende på läpparna och med onda fötter! Kan väl inte bli bättre betyg till en bröllopsfest!! Ciao Catharina

Had my speech and sing the song "That's whats friends are for" for my dear friend. And got the honor to finish the dinner with my speech and song to the coffee. A bit nervous but it went really well, and the song is about friendship, and now it was not just for my friend, but to all the lovely people that had gathered here for the wedding!!! Feel asleep with a smile on my face and with soared feet! Can't be a better rating to a wedding party, right! See you! Ciao Catharina

Hej, nu är vi hemma igen efter en resa på ca 30 timmar. Men med en superhärlig känsla i både kropp och själ från en fantastisk vecka och med en smidig resa med intressanta miljöer och människor blev hemresan en fin avslutning på våra Afrika äventyr för denna gången.

Vi bodde på ett all-inclusive hotell så förutom besöket på det lokala sjukhuset, kommer liten rapport därifrån i veckan, var vi inte ute och upptäckte omgivningarna, vilket är ovanligt för att vara mig. Men med bröllopet och alla aktiviteter runt omkring hade vi fullt schema. Men imorse när vi åkte till flygplatsen så passade jag på att ta lite ögonblicksbilder genom bilfönstret.

Hello, now we are home after 30 hours travelling. But with this fabulous feeling in both soul and body from an absolutely fantastic week and with smooth travel with interesting places and people the trip back home was a nice ending to our African trips this autumn.

We stayed in an all-inclusive hotel and except for the visit to the local hospital, will tell you more about that later, we didn't explore the surroundings, which is unusual for being me. But with the wedding and all the activities around it, we were rater busy. But this morning when we went to the airport I took a couple of photos through the car window.

I Kenya bor ca 47 miljoner invånare, och Kenya ligger i Östafrika. Mombasa är en kuststad i Kenya och Nairobi är huvudstaden. De officiella språken är engelska och swahili men man har ca 60 olika språk i landet.

Kenya has approx 47 millions inhabitants, and is the center in East Africa. Mombasa is a city by the coast and Nairobi is the capital. They have two official languages here; English and Swahili but they have approx 60 different languages in the country.

Kenya ligger nära ekvatorn och har en relativt stabil temperatur året om. Årsmedeltemperaturen i Mombasa där vi bodde är max 30,3 och minimum 22,4.

Kenya is situated close to the equator and have a rather stable temperature all year around. The average yearly temperature where we stayed is max 30,4 and minimum 22,4.

Det är polititisk oroligt i Kenya sedan en tid tillbaka med regeringen och nyval med massa förhinder och man vet inte hur det skall gå och hur valet kommer att påverka landet i stort. Vi märkte inte direkt av oroligheterna men såg miliärfordon inne i Mombasa på väg till flygplatsen.

It is a bit unstable since a while back due to the government and election and they don't know in which directions things are going and it can have a big, negative, impact on the future of the country. We didn't notice much except that we saw military trucks in Mombasa, on our way to the airport.

Kenya är navet för den finansiella sektorn och handeln i Östafrika. Det är jordbruk och turism som driver ekonomin.

Kenya is the center for the finance and trading in East Africa. Agriculture and tourism are the two main drivers of the economy.

Religionen är blandad här och de största grupperna är protestanter, katoliker, övriga kristna och muslimer.

They have a mix of religions here and the main groups are Protestants, Catholics, other Christians and Muslims.

Kvinnorna här har vackra kläder med vackra print och färgglada plagg. Allt är färgstarkt och vackert.

The woman here have really beautiful clothes with beautiful prints and colours.

För att komma till Mombasa, som ligger på en ö, behöver man åka färja. Här står vi i en av köerna till färjan.

To go to Mombasa, which is situated on an island, you need to take a ferry. Here we are waiting in one of the queues.

Det bor många som på denna sidan då detta är den närmaste förorten. Om man är fotgängare får man åka gratis med färjan fram och tillbaka.

There are a lot of people living on this side since this is the closest suburb. If you are walking you can take the ferry for free.

Färjan före oss med några bilar men massa människor. Inte långa att åka som ni ser.

Och här fick vi plats på tredje färjan över och även den fylls på med människor som skall över till andra sidan.

And this is our ferry, the third one, and it was also filled with a lot of people wanting to go to the other side.

Och efter två och halv timma var vi framme på flygplatsen, i god tid, skönt! Vi ses! Catharina

Godmorgon, har vaknat upp till denna utsikten varje morgon o med havets brus. Fönster o dörrar är öppna, hela nätterna o vi har ett vackert myggnät runt vår vackra säng. Denna morgon med soluppgång. Sista morgonen här!

Good Morning, woke up with this view the whole week from our bed and with the sound of the ocean. All doors and windows open the whole night and we have a beautiful mosqito net around our bed. And with sun rise this morning! Last morning here!

Så vackert och det blev en powewalk längs stranden.

So beautiful and a last power walk along the beach!

Sedan blev det en snabb dusch och frukost med en fantastisk utsikt över havet. Vi var helt ensamma då vi var uppe tidigt o alla andra låg och sov.

Then a fast shower and breakfast with a fantastic view over the sea. We where completely alone since we where up early.

Mums!

Yummy!!

Och nu är vi på först av dagens alla flygplatser på väg hem. Det tog två timmar o kaos vid färjan. Från Mombasa till Nairobi, sedan Abu Dabi o sedan Munchen, där vi landar sju imorgon bitti.

Och just ja, har levt i nuet o njutit till 1000%!! Har inte ens sett det som att jag har loggat ut från sociala medier. Det blev bara helt naturligt!! Vi ses! Catharina

And now we are on the first one of all the airports. It took us two hours to come here with caos at the ferry. We are flying from mombasa to Nairobi, then to Abu Dabu onwards to Munich, where we will land at 7am tomorrow morning.

And yes, have lived in the moment this past week to 1000%. Haven't even thought about the fact that I have logged out from social media. It just came naturally, and that is so fantastic! See you!! Ciao Catharina

Just nu har vi denna utsikten! Sol o 32 grader i luften o 30 grader i vattnet!

Right now we are enjoying this view! Sun and 32 degrees in the air and 30 degrees in the water!

Behöver ju lite förfriskning i solen.

Needed some refreshment in the sun.

Och nu har snart alla gästerna till bröllopet anlänt o klockan 13.00 börjar festligheterna med lunch o avslutas på söndag. Kommer att dela med mig av bilder från denna fantastiska helg. Vi hörs! Catharina

Hej, en fantastisk dag är snart till ända! Vi landade igår vid halv tre på natten o visumet var enkelt löst, pust. Vi hade beställt taxi så en bil väntade på oss. Efter att vi behövde vänta på en båt (vöntade ca 30 minuter), var vi framme vid fem på morgonen.

Hi, our first day here in Kenya! And it's wonderful! We landed yeasterday at 2.30 am and all went fine with the visa, piuhh. We have pre-ordered at taxi so it was waiting for us. After a boat trip (we needed to wait for the boat for 30 minutes) and one hours travel south from Mombasa we arrived at 5 am.

Det var becksvart ute men marchaller lyste upp vägen o vi fick ett fint mottagande m en god fruktdrink o tända ljus i rummet. Det kändes så skönt att komma fram Ovan ser ni vårt hus för denna vistelsen. Vi somnade till ljudet av vågorna från havet...

It was totally dark outside but when we arrived here the road to our house was light up by lanterns and we got a drink upon arrival. Our house was lighted up with candles. Above you can see our house. And we feel asleep with the sound of the waves...

Och nu tar vi en sun downer o man placerar nu ut lyktor överallt. Så vackert! Vi tar en gemensam drink m sällskapet ikväll men väljer en romantisk middag på tu man hand. Mysigt! Vi ses imorgon. Nya spännande saker på schemat o massa fler bilder utlovas! Vi ses! Catharina
