Piff och Puff. | Chip ´n´ Dale

Hej, strax åker vi till Pula, en liten stad som ligger ca 6 mil söder om Porec och som är Istriens "huvudstad". Vi skall turista lite där och hälsa på vänner. Ni får se bilder imorgon.

Bojan tycker att jag och Jelena är som Piff och Puff, och snattrar hela tiden (men inget bråk). Kul att ha en kompis här nere som man kan umgås med. Det blir annars mycket manlig vänskap, som är en stark tradition här i balkan. 

Hello, soon of to Pula, the "capital" here in Istrien. It is approximately 60 km south of Porec. We will do some sightseeing and meet up some friends. You will see the pics tomorrow. 

Bojan thinks that me and Jelena is like Chip ´n´ Dale, we talk the whole time (but no fighting). Really really nice to have a friend down here that I can spend time with. Otherwise it is a male friendship kind of world down here in the Balkan. 

Jelena är tandläkare med egen praktik. Ovan ser ni henne till vänster, med sin tandsköterska. Duktig som bara den, och hon är ett föredöme att alltid lära sig mer och mer och utvecklas hela tiden. Och har ni sett en sötare tandläkare? Ingen tandläkarskräck här inte. 

Jelena is a dentist with her own practice. And above you see here, to the left, with her nurse. And she is really competent and she is always developing and learning new things, impressive! And have you seen how cute she is? No fear of dentist here!

Me & Bojan at Hvar, Sept 2016

Hej, idag firar vi att maken fyller år! Fast inga presenter eller någon tårta, hehe Men vi tänkte grilla lite till lunch och sedan åka till havet på eftermiddagen och mysa med några vänner. Just nu vilar vi ut efter gårdagens "lunch" som började klockan halv två på eftermiddagen och höll på till två på natten. Jag gav upp vid elva... Men spontant blir det med en kroatisk man med vänner från Balkan. Försöker fortfarande vänja mig med att en lunch inte alltid är en lunch, utan kan både bli middag och vickning. "Lunchen" bestod av fantastisk god grillad fisk (tonfisk och makrill), goda grönsaker och meloner samt kroatiskt vin, både vitt och rött. Vi ses imorgon! Catharina

Hello, today we are celebrating Bojan's birthday! But no presents or cake, hehe But we will have a late lunch at home and then go to the beach, to celebrate the birthday, low-key, with some friends. Right now we are resting from our "lunch" yesterday that started 1.30 pm and it ended at 2.00 am. I gave up at 11 pm... But living with a Croatian having friends over from Balkan,  life is spontaneous. A bit difficult for me sometimes, but I'm working on it. We had a delicious "lunch" yesterday with grilled tuna and mackerel, some chard and green salad and melon (three different) as desert. And yes, of course, Croatian wine, both white and red. Vitamin Sea.

Hej, här njuter vi för fullt och badar i saltvatten varje dag. Vädret är lite instabilt med regn och åska men det är varmt, så det gör inte så mycket. Snarare gör det det hela mer behagligt! 

Hello, here we are enjoying ourselves and swimming in salty water every day.  The weather is a bit unstable with rain and thunderstorms, but it is still around 30 degrees, so it is still fine. Or rather ok, since it isn't too hot then. 

Det blev inget kvällsdopp igår då vi bara tog en kort paus mellan alla rätter på restaurangen som vi åt på, för att fånga solnedgången, men vi kommer absolut att ta några kvällsdopp senare i veckan. Den bästa tiden på dagen!

No evening swim yesterday, but we took a short break between the dishes at the restaurants we visited just to catch the sunset, but we will definitely take one or two before we go home. The best time of the day!

Fördelen när det är riktigt varmt på dagarna är att även kvällarna är riktigt sköna och ingen tröja eller kavaj behövs.

Och förra året då? Jo, då var vi här nere i samma hus och myste med döttrarna och svärföräldrarna också. På återhörande, Catharina

One advantage when it is really hot during the day is that the evenings are pleasantly warm and no jacket or warm sweater is needed.

Hej, igår blev det en dag utan uppkoppling, skönt! Tränade, läste och solade och umgicks. Idag hade vi tänkt att åka och bada efter frukost men då drog ett åskväder över oss så vi bestämde oss för att kasta om dagen, så nu sitter vi och myser på vår uteplats. 

Hello, yesterday I went off line, nice! Spending the day with fitness, reading and sun bathing and just being. Today we had planned to go swimming after breakfast but a thunderstorm passed by so we decided to stay at home in the morning and go swimming in the afternoon instead, so now we are just relaxing. 

Här äter vi så god mat! Vi köper frukt och grönskare hos en handlare som har sin trädgård precis bakom och allt är närodlat och färskt! Älskar vattenmelon! De var färdiga nu i lördags. Vanligtvis är de mogna en vecka senare, men då det har varit så varmt hittills i sommar så har de mognat tidigare. Mums! 

The food is soooo good here! We are buying our fruits and vegetables at a local vegetable stand where they grow all what they sell in the garden behind the stand. And everything is locally produced and fresh!! I love water melon! They were ripe this week. Normally they are not ready until a week later, but due to the warm weather until now they are ready now. Yummy!! 

Tyvärr är jag ju allergisk mot allt ovan; äpplen, päron, nektariner, fikon, persikor, körsbär mao alla kärnfrukter. Men jag tittar gärna på dem och minns hur de smakar. 

Unfortunately I'm allergic to most fruit with stone in it, such as; apple, pears, peaches, figs, cherries etc etc. But I can still look at them and sort of feel the taste.

Och här grillas orada på utegrillen till gårdagens middag. Och till det åt vi mangold. 

And yesterday we grilled orada at the outdoor grill. And we served it with mangold. 

Ovan ser ni när dagens regnväder drar över oss med utsikt över vår pool. När vi inte badar så kommer svalorna hit och dricker vatten. De flyger över och dricker i farten, häftigt att se. Ska försöka fånga dem på bild. Så som ni förstår så myser vi 100%. Vi ses imorgon! Catharina

And above you see our pool with the rain weather coming in. When we are not swimming in the pool the swallows are drinking water. They are flying over and drinking from the water while make a short dip into the water.. Shall try to catch them on camera. So as you understand, this is 100% relaxing. See you tomorrow. Hej, är allt bra? Här är allt toppen! Vi har nu installerat oss i vårt hus. Fjärde året som vi hyr, och tredje året i rad. Samma två veckor! Idag har vi tagit det lugnt och packat upp och fixat. Det blev sent igår när vi hämtade Mimmi på flygplatsen i Pula men maken och jag kom ändå upp relativt tidigt idag och tog en powerwalk längs kajen i Porec för att sedan gå till piazzan för att köpa lite färsk fisk och grönsaker. 

Hello, is all ok? Here everything is great! We have now installed ourselfs in the rented house, forth time and third year in a row. The same two weeks! Today we have taken it easy and unpacked and fixed things. Yesterday we came home late, after picking up Mimmi from the airport in Pula. Despite that we managed to wake up rather early to go for a power walk in the city of Porec. After we went to the piazza to buy fresh fish and vegetables.

På morgonen vid åtta var det 30 grader så vi svettades och pustade lite. Men nu på eftermiddagen har ett regnväder dragit förbi, välbehövliga droppar och lite svalare, typ 22 grader, men imorgon blir det över 30 grader igen. 

At eight this morning it was over 30 degrees so it the power walk was a bit slow. But now it has been raining, so it is cool, around 22 degrees, nice. But tomorrow it is back to over 30 degrees again.

Ikväll kommer fler gäster; mina ex-svärföräldrar kommer med båt från Venedig. De hälsar på oss regelbundet, och senast hälsade de på oss i julas i Flachau, mysigt! De stannar till fredag morgon då de åker tillbaka till Toskana då resten av deras stora familj kommer och hälsar på, i olika omgångar. Vi har planerat lite sightseeing, salta bad och goda middagar, både hemma och ute på restaurang. 

Tonight more guests are coming; my ex parents-in-law will arrive with boat from Venice. They visit us on a regular basis and last time was last Christmas in Flachau, very nice! They stay until Friday morning when they are going back to Tuscany, where they have a large apartment, and the rest of their family will visit them. We have planned some sightseeing, swimming in the salty water and nice dinners; both at home and in restaurants.

Nu är det dags att fixa räkningar och fakturera lite. Sedan läser jag nog lite tills det är daxs att hämta svärföräldrarna. Just ja, en dusch också... Vi ses imorgon! Catharina
